Dosage and Interactions

When to Take:

SUGGESTED USE: Dissolve 1 tablet in mouth before swallowing, within 1 hour of bedtime. Do not exceed 1 tablet daily unless recommended by a health care professional.


WARNING: Do not use this product unless advised by a physician if you are pregnant, attempting to become pregnant, or nursing; or if you are taking any medications or have any chronic disease, including hypertension (high blood pressure), diabetes, or an endocrine, auto-immune, depressive, bleeding or seizure disorder. Do not take melatonin while operating a motor vehicle or machinery. Not intended for individuals under the age of 18. Consult a health care professional if you are experiencing persistent sleep difficulties

There are no food sources of melatonin.

Are there any prescription drug interactions with melatonin?

Melatonin should be used with caution when combined with medications, including: antidepressants, antianxiety medications, diabetes medications, narcotics, blood pressure medication, and asthma medication. If you are using these or any other medications, please consult with your physician prior to using melatonin.

Can I give this product to my child?

This product is not intended for people under the age of 18. We would recommend discussing any sleep disorders that your child is experiencing with your pediatrician.

Can I take this product if I am taking tranquilizers?

If you are under medical supervision, or are taking any tranquilizers or sedatives, seek the advice of your health care professional prior to use.

How much melatonin can be taken daily?

For occasional sleep disturbance or jet lag, 3-5 mg should be taken one hour before bedtime. Consult a health care professional if you are experiencing persistent sleep difficulties.
